Ruin

The costumes of Ruin pay homage to Mathise’s time in Northern Africa. The design resembles linen, and clothing worn in the desert. They are modernized, combining the aesthetic of modern dance with fashion-forward flair. The fabric is chosen to look like canvas materials, the museum setting, and the artist’s medium. 

The makeup consisted of red fading down the forehead/face. Clean, editorial.
